He was a teacher for 32 years in Stockport, teaching at what was Bredbury County Comprehensive School, which was later renamed Werneth School. He became Head of Technology, never losing the love for his subject.

Kevin Taggart was born on March 14, 1963. He was the eldest of seven children and lived his early life in Huyton, Merseyside. He died on the 15th of October, 2009, aged 46 after an eleven month battle against Lung Cancer. He is survived by his devoted wife Sue and loving children Danielle, Luke and Lauren.
